Ski snow Legacy offers Summer Camp Adventures in Tahoe

Donner Summit, Ca. – Sugar Bowl’s "Summer on the Summit" returns with adventures for kids. First, two different week-long sessions of kids adventure day camps are available for ages 4-14. Older children can enjoy high-alpine hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail and Mt. Judah Loop.


Located at the Gateway Mountain Center July 19-23 and July 26-30, the youngest ones, ages 4-6, can sign up for the Explore Nature session. Priced at $410 per child, children will enjoy fun in the forest, yoga & movement, music & art, a hands-on climbing adventure, beach time at Lake Mary, wetlands & bugs tours, and historical explorations through Donner Summit’s railroad tunnels.

ADVENTURES IN NATURE is designed for ages 7-10 at a rate of $430 per child. In this camp, kids enjoy nature games, arts & crafts, swimming in Lake Mary, predator & prey tours, flat-water kayaking and petroglyphs on Donner Summit.

MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE, for ages 11-14 at $465 per child, is an even more challenging week. Pre-teens and teens experience flat water kayaking at Donner Lake, Van Norden Meadow hiking, railroad tunnels, Donner Peak hiking to an old growth forest, rock climbing, and whitewater rafting down the Truckee River.
